Terms and Conditions

1. Mobile Grooming Services

Our grooming van requires a safe and legal parking space near your location. Please ensure there is enough space for us to park and set up.

I will need access to a household electrical outlet.

In the event of extreme weather conditions or mechanical issues, we may need to reschedule your appointment. We will notify you as soon as possible.

2. Booking and Appointments

All grooming appointments must be scheduled in advance through our website, phone, or email. We recommend booking early to secure your preferred date and time.

A confirmation of your appointment will be sent via email or SMS. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact us to ensure your appointment is scheduled.

All clients are required to complete and sign a declaration form prior to their dog being groomed

A non-refundable £20 deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your appointment. Should the appointment need rescheduling, the deposit will be transferred to the new date.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment may incur a cancellation fee of 50%

If a cancellation is required and depending on circumstances, the deposit can potentially be negotiated should an appointment need to be cancelled, not due to a change of mind.

In the event of an emergency, please notify us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate your situation.

4. Pricing and Payment

Prices for grooming services are based on the breed, size, condition of the coat, and any additional services requested. A full price list is available on our website.

Payment is due upon completion of services.

Our guide prices are based on the time taken to groom a well-behaved dog that is groomed regular and the coat is in good condition.

I accept cash, bank transfer and card payments. Any additional charges for extra services or special requirements will be communicated before the grooming session.

5. Matting Policy & Grooming Guidelines

Additional charges maybe incurred for a badly matted or difficult to manage dogs. If a dogs coat is severely matted golden paws will only attempt a maximum of 15 minutes to de-matt the coat.

Matted dogs will incur additional charges for de-matting and/or clipping off the coat. These charges will vary dependent on the time taken for the procedure.

Golden Paws reserve the right to refuse to groom any dog that we deem too severely matted to safely carry out a clip off of the coat.

Golden Paws shall not be held liable for any after grooming effects of mat clipping procedures or problems 'uncovered' on a badly matted neglected coat. The owner agrees to pay all costs for the grooming of the dog including de-matting , whether or not the groomer is able to complete the job.

If a complete clip off needs to be performed Golden paws will notify you before doing so.

6. Pet Requirements

All pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations. Proof of vaccination may be required.

We reserve the right to refuse service if the pet shows signs of aggression, extreme anxiety, or any condition that may put the pet or groomer at risk.

If during the grooming process your dog finds any part of the grooming process too stressful that part will not be completed. If Golden paws cannot complete the groom price reductions may be implemented.

Please ensure your pet is clean, free of parasites, and in good health before the grooming session.

7. Dogs in Season

If your dog is in season at the time of your scheduled grooming appointment, please contact to reschedule for a later date. We do not provide grooming services for female dogs that are in season.

This policy is in place due to several factors - hygiene consideration, behavioral changes & health and safety etc.

8. Fleas/ticks

If you are aware that your dog has fleas or any other parasites before the appointment please inform us straight away. The appointment will be rescheduled once the pet is clear of parasites.

Should we find any form of parasite during the initial health check you will be immediately informed and the appointment will be stopped.

An additional charge of £15 will apply on top of your grooming price, as the implications of an infestation require us to cancel any further appointments that day and our van will have to be deep cleaned and fumigated to prevent cross contamination to other dogs.

9. Safety and Well-being

The safety and well-being of your pet is our top priority. We use only pet-friendly products and handle all pets with care.

In rare cases, if a pet becomes overly stressed or aggressive during the grooming process, we may stop the session and discuss alternative options with the owner.

We are not responsible for any pre-existing conditions or problems found during grooming (e.g., matted fur, skin conditions, or ear infections). We will notify you of any issues discovered during the session.

10. Owner’s Responsibilities

Owners are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions, allergies, or behavioral issues their pets may have prior to the grooming session.

Please ensure your pet has had a chance to relieve itself before the appointment to avoid accidents during grooming.

11. Liability

While i take every precaution to ensure your pet’s safety, we cannot be held liable for any injury or accident that occurs outside of our control.

I will not responsible for any damage caused by your pet to personal property or the grooming van during the grooming session.

12. Photography and Marketing

With the owner's consent, i may take photographs of your pet before, during, or after the grooming session. These images may be used for promotional purposes on our website or social media platforms.

If you do not wish for your pet’s photo to be used, please inform me before the grooming session begins.

13. Changes to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and it is the owner’s responsibility to review them before booking an appointment.

I will store information on all dogs and their treatments details.
